Wheatland Baptist Church will celebrate it’s 30 Year Anniversary with Special Services with Evangelist J. Mark Kittrell from Sunday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 9.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. & 6:00 p.m. Sunday and 7:00 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.  There will be a potluck dinner at the church following our anniversary service on Sunday, May 6.

Mark Kittrell is a very powerful and effective preacher of God’s Word and he is a tremendous blessing to hear.  Brother Kittrell has served in evangelism, church planting, and missions for over 20 years.  Mark travels extensively throughout the United States conducting meetings in churches, schools, and camps as well as regularly preaching on foreign fields.  He is the Staff Evangelist for Open Door Baptist Church and the Director of Pacific Rim Missions International.  Mark and his wife, Tammisue, live in Oregon and have three sons.

Wheatland Baptist Church was planted on May 2, 1982 by Pastor Terry Post and his wife, Roberta.  They originally met in the 4-H Building until purchasing the former Nazarene Church building in 1986.  In 2001 God enabled the congregation to purchase the former Elks Lodge building on the west side of town.  Much renovation has been accomplished since moving there in 2002 and since 2010 the church has been debt free!  Wheatland is now in the process of raising funds through the free will giving of it’s people to begin remodeling the interior of the building.
