Our Pastor
Pastor Ernsberger accepted the call to be our pastor in April 2023. Both he and his wife received their training at Bob Jones University and have served the Lord together in church ministry for over thirty years. During their years of service together—from church assistance and Christian school education to church planting and pastoral ministry—most of those years were served in the Northwest portion of our nation. In support of missions, they both have also had the opportunity to teach at a Bible college in India.
Having great thankfulness that God has called him to serve in the Heartland of America, Pastor Ernsberger is looking forward to continuing the faithful path of ministry established by Pastor Terry Post, the founding pastor, who recently retired. For the ministry of Wheatland Baptist Church, Pastor Ernsberger has this heart’s prayer—for us to work together to reach our community for Christ and for our church family to grow together in Christlikeness (Galatians 2:20; II Peter 3:18). Pastor Ernsberger and his wife are the thankful parents of two daughters, and their family has extended to include a son-in-law as well. For hobbies and interests, Pastor enjoys woodworking, visiting aviation museums and reading aviation history, as well as outdoor photography, fishing, and hiking with his family.
Where do you stand on Communion? Open, close, or closed?
Dear Rick,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you concerning your question. When you visited our website our church was in transition between pastors, so your question slipped through the crack. If we are on the same page with our understanding of the three views of communion; open, close, or closed, I will tell you we practice a close communion.
Please feel free to reach out again and by all means come attend our services. I trust you will be blessed and encourage in your walk with our Lord.
Pastor Brian Ernsberger
